12+ POOL SAFETY TIPS

In seconds, a child can drown in only a few inches of water. A child can drown in the few seconds taken to answer a telephone in the house. The master word is SUPERVISION: Never leave a child alone in and around the swimming pool and spa. To feel more safe with your pool, please follow the tips below approved by CSPC:



Flotation devices don’t replace supervision



Remove large floating toys after use to have a clear view of the pool



Do not allow that toddlers dive into the pool



Do not allow running on the edge of the pool



Keep a cell telephone near the pool



Never swim in case of bad weather



Remove the pool cover completely before pool using. Children can be entrapped under it.



Keep terrace areas free of mess



Inform babysitters about potential danger in and around the pool



Use multiple layers of security
(fences or nets and alarms).



Learn how to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)



Teach all chidren to swim as soon as possible
